The Dialysis Center " La Vallee Blanche" can be found in the center of Chamonix town at the foot of the highest peak in Western-Europe, Mont-Blanc, 4807 metres high.

At the cross-roads of Europe, Chamonix, in Haute-Savoie, is situated closed to the Swiss and Italian borders and is easily accessible all year round.

Chamonix Valley is in the extreme South-East of the Haute-Savoie region - An area ideal for holidays all year round - !

It is surrounded by others well known resorts e.g. Megève, 30 minutes away or Saint-Gervais les Bains famous for its thermal baths recognised medically fot its benefits to Rheumatics, Dermatology and E.N.T. patients.

Acces from & to Italy is easy via the Mont-Blanc Tunnel Highway or from elsewhere in France, by Train, Highway or by good air links via Geneva-Airport, 45 minutes away.

Numerous international flights are available to & from Geneva, not only by Swissair or Air-France, but also by the principals International Airlines e.g. British Airways.

THE CHAMONIX HEMODIALYSIS CENTER

The Chamonix hemodialysis center operates in conjunction with the Nephrology Unit of the Hospital.

Dialysis care

The center is equiped with 12 modern machines which permit the most efficient membranes available to be used. All the dialysis treatment are provided - Hemodialysis, Hemodiafiltration, Single-needle, Catheters - and, according to the french laws, Dialysator re-use is not done.

According to the patients medical condition, dialysis is available from an armchair or a bed.

 

The Nephrologist is present throughtout the entire dialysis session.

In the event of medical complication arising the patient is transferred to the hospital and carred by the same team there.
